Sustainable Fashion for Women: Conscious Denim and More for SS25 at Kings Road Fashions

Hello, hello, hello,
Jo and Debbie here from Kings Road, welcoming you to another exciting episode of Style It Live - this post is a replay of our weekly Friday Style It Live Session on Facebook. You can watch the replay on YouTube HERE and join us live every Friday at 5.30pm here
Today’s Style It Live has a special focus: Sustainability in Fashion. 🌱
We realised we don’t shout enough about the amazing conscious and eco-friendly brands we stock, so tonight’s the night!
We’ll be showing you beautiful pieces from Bibico and Mes Seouers et Moi (boutique exclusive), incredible brands that champion slow fashion and ethical production.
Plus, we’ll highlight other favourites like Masai, Lily and Me, Yavi and Raga, Mos Mosh, and more — all brands doing amazing work for both planet and people.
Expect easy, stylish looks perfect for spring and summer — from Better Cotton dresses to beautiful, timeless jackets, and fair-trade jewellery that tells a story.
✨Let’s dive in… click on the image below to watch the replay on our YouTube channel.
Highlights:
Modula, which we've recently introduced as the sister brand to Neirami. They’re another fantastic example of a brand that's really conscious about their fabrics, owning their own factories and putting a huge focus on sustainable choices. Sizing - pretty true to size — relaxed and easy fits.
Biba accessories (like the bags you see styled in our photos) use vegetable dyes, which not only give them these stunning muted tones but are also much less harmful to the environment. Another brand we're proud to work with!
Eco fabrics: Some brands are using "eco-tech" fabrics — where textile waste is transformed into new fabrics, reducing greenhouse emissions, water use, and energy. Where you see tech fabrics in our brands, they tend to be the eco kind. An example: a dress from Lily and Me. Made in EcoVero viscose jersey, made from certified wood sources with at least 50% less carbon emissions and water usage. It’s certified by Lenzing EcoVero, which also means no harmful chemicals in the production, like in the dyes.
Bibico: We had Bibico last summer and it was a total sellout. It’s a very quiet brand — not shouty at all — just beautiful, simple pieces that work effortlessly in your wardrobe. There's always just a little detail you recognise and love. Very soothing — like a little wardrobe therapy.
Tara is our fabulous shirt dress. Made from natural fibres too, so it's breathable — perfect for summer.
Anna — this is a brilliant shirt-jacket, longer than your typical denim jacket but still relaxed and easy. If you like the look of denim jackets but hate the cropped length, Anna is your answer.
Trousers - we have a selection in the same soft canvas cotton. Soft barrel-leg style with darted seams and big patch pockets. It's called Margate — nearly all sold out already.
Next up - the Alba cotton cardigan. Super lightweight, gorgeous shape, and subtle texture thanks to the change of knitting direction.
We also have: Red Button denim with Repreve (recycled fibre) labels.
Vetono organic cotton & hemp mix tops Masai pieces, focused on sustainable viscose and better cotton practices.
Lily and Me — Sustainable Brand of the Year 2024 — their cotton knit sweater is fabulous.
Mansted — Highly sustainable Danish brand, nearly all natural fibres.
MOS MOSH — Very strong on eco denim, better cotton initiative, water-saving dyes.
Henriette Steffensen — High sustainability standards, low-waste production, clever use of offcuts to create scarves and no-waste t-shirts.
Sitting Suits - Outerwear brand that recycles ocean waste plastics into performance fabrics.
We really believe: Good clothes that suit you, that you keep for years = the most sustainable way to shop. Plus, when you're supporting small, thoughtful brands that care about the supply chain, it's a win for everyone. Long-lasting fashion is the best way to avoid landfill, and donating to charity shops gives garments a second life.
If you loved anything from this post, pop us a message or come and visit in store — we’re always happy to help with sizing, styling tips, or just a friendly hello. We'll see you next time—same style, same silliness!
